At Centriworks, we believe we’re more than a technology partner to the businesses we serve, we’re neighbors, too. Our team members live, raise families, coach youth sports, volunteer, and build their lives right here in East Tennessee. Supporting the communities we call home isn’t something we do because it’s expected; it’s part of who we are.

That commitment takes many forms. Sometimes it’s a financial donation. Sometimes it’s donated equipment or technology services that help nonprofits do more with limited resources. And often, it’s our employees giving their time to causes they care deeply about.

To encourage that spirit of service, every Centriworks team member receives a paid volunteer day each year to support a charitable organization of their choice. It’s one way we recognize that giving back matters, and that investing in our communities should be part of the workday, not just something reserved for personal time.

Of course, many of our employees volunteer well beyond that one day. Whether they’re mentoring young people, serving on nonprofit boards, or lending a hand at local events, they’re making a difference throughout East Tennessee and the Tri-Cities.

Here are just a few of the organizations we’re proud to support.

Supporting Families During Medical Crisis: Southern Appalachian Ronald McDonald House

When a child is seriously ill, families need to focus on what matters most: being together.

The Southern Appalachian Ronald McDonald House provides families with a comfortable place to stay near the hospital while their child receives medical care. Lodging, meals, transportation assistance, hygiene supplies, and other necessities are provided at no cost, easing both the financial and emotional burden during an incredibly difficult time.

Beyond meeting practical needs, the organization creates a supportive community where families find comfort from others facing similar experiences.

Centriworks is proud to support the Southern Appalachian Ronald McDonald House, including its annual fundraising golf tournament, helping ensure families have a true home away from home when they need it most.

Helping Kids Thrive Beyond the School Day: Coalition for Kids

For nearly 25 years, Coalition for Kids has provided safe, supportive after-school programs for children throughout the Tri-Cities region.

What began in a single Johnson City apartment complex has grown into programming that now serves every Johnson City school while expanding into surrounding communities. Students receive homework assistance, nutritious meals, enrichment activities, and caring adult mentorship, all of which contribute to stronger academic performance, improved attendance, and increased confidence.

We believe every child deserves a safe place to learn, grow, and belong, which is why we’re proud to support Coalition for Kids and the work they do every day.

Strengthening Mental Health Across Our Region: McNabb Center

Some of the most important community work happens quietly.

For more than 75 years, McNabb Center has provided mental health care, substance use treatment, victim services, and family support throughout East Tennessee. Each year, the organization serves tens of thousands of individuals across 30 counties, offering compassionate care for children, adults, veterans, and families facing difficult circumstances.

Centriworks has proudly supported McNabb Center for many years because access to mental health and social services strengthens not only individuals but entire communities.

Empowering the Next Generation: Boys & Girls Clubs of the Tennessee Valley

Since 1943, Boys & Girls Clubs of the Tennessee Valley has helped young people discover their interests, build confidence, and prepare for the future.

Today, the organization operates clubs across multiple East Tennessee counties, offering everything from academic support and athletics to arts programming, career exploration, technical training, and paid internships. By helping young people explore new opportunities and develop practical skills, the Clubs are preparing tomorrow’s leaders while giving today’s kids a safe place to learn and grow.

Supporting that mission aligns closely with our own belief that investing in young people strengthens the future of our communities.

Preserving East Tennessee’s History: Bonnie Kate Chapter, DAR

Not every investment in the community is about meeting an immediate need. Sometimes it’s about preserving the stories and landmarks that connect us to our past.

One organization helping do exactly that is the Bonnie Kate Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution, which has played a vital role in preserving Knoxville’s historic Blount Mansion for more than a century.

Built in 1792 as the home of Tennessee Territorial Governor William Blount, the mansion narrowly escaped demolition in the 1920s thanks to the efforts of the Bonnie Kate Chapter. Today, it remains one of Tennessee’s most important historic sites, welcoming visitors who want to learn more about the state’s early history.

As America 250 commemorations continue across the country, supporting organizations that preserve our shared heritage feels especially meaningful. We’re proud to help ensure future generations can experience this important piece of East Tennessee history.

Supporting East Tennessee Through Giving and Volunteerism

These organizations represent only a small sample of the many nonprofits, schools, and community initiatives Centriworks has been privileged to support over the years.

While every organization serves a different purpose, they all share a common goal: making East Tennessee a stronger, healthier, and more connected place to live. We’re grateful for the opportunity to contribute through financial support, donated technology and services, volunteerism, and the everyday generosity of our employees.

We believe strong businesses and strong communities go hand in hand. By investing in the people and organizations working to improve life across East Tennessee and the Tri-Cities, we’re helping build the kind of community we’re proud to call home
